KAIROS UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP

Date: August 27, 2017

Kairos, a Grants Pass-based mental health services provider to youth and young adults, is under new leadership.

Bob Lieberman, who has been at the helm of the nonprofit organization since 1989, has stepped aside to start a consulting firm, following a 16-month transition process aided by a search firm specializing in rural behavioral health.

"I'm happy to be handing off an agency that is strong, with a great leadership team," Lieberman said.

The Kairos board has hired Craig Norton, the former CEO of the Marimed Foundation in Hawaii. He has 24 years experience in the mental health services field.

"We are extremely pleased to have hired someone with the experience and capabilities that Mr. Norton brings," said board President Marie Hill. "We know that he will continue the legacy of great work that Bob Lieberman has done for the children and families of our community and the state."

Norton started on Aug. 15, and is working with Lieberman during a two-week orientation period.

Kairos, formerly known as Southern Oregon Adolescent Study and Treatment Center, operates out of 14 locations in five counties.
