Individual and Family Therapist (New Beginnings, Grants Pass)

Kairos is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an opening for an Individual and Family Therapist at their New Beginnings Program in Grants Pass, Oregon. Individual and Family Therapists provide individualized, intensive treatment services to at-risk and mentally challenged youth (11-17) within Kairos' psychiatric co-ed residential treatment program. This position will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment plans and interventions within the framework of Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). They will also have the ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and progressive agency.
Kairos is a non-profit, multi-service mental health agency that provides a comprehensive array of services and support to children, adolescents, young adults, and families struggling with trauma and other mental and behavioral issues. Known state-wide and nationally for innovation, quality, and accountability in its provision of services, Kairos commits itself to continuous learning and grounding of evidence based treatment models and emerging best practices in mental health through partnerships and training opportunities with leaders in the mental health field. Over many years it has grown in scope and now operates out of five counties. Kairos is licensed by the Oregon Department of Human Services and certified by the Oregon Health Authority, and has been accredited by The Joint Commission since 1984.
To be considered for this position, qualified candidates will have a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Art, or Music Therapy, behavioral science field, or a qualified Mental Health Intern as defined in Oregon 309-019-0105 (61). Must demonstrate the ability to conduct an assessment, including identifying precipitating events, gathering histories of mental and physical health, substance abuse, past mental health services and criminal justice contacts, assessing family, cultural, social and work relationships, conducting a mental status examination, complete a DSM diagnosis, write and supervise the implementation of a Service Plan, and provide individual, family or group therapy within the scope of their training. Must have current licensure (LPC, LMFT and/or LCSW) or the ability to become licensed within two years. Kairos will support both the supervision and cost of licensure requirements.
This position is full-time, working Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Depending on the candidate’s experience, compensation ranges from $3,874-$5,645 monthly. In addition, all full-time employees with Kairos are eligible to participate in a number of agency sponsored benefits.
