Individual and Family Therapist (Jackson Services, Medford)

Kairos has an opening for an Individual and Family Therapist at their Jackson Services Program in Medford, Oregon. Individual and Family Therapists provide outpatient mental health treatment services for youth ages 0-24. Agency vehicle provided when available. F/T shifts consists of (M-F) work-days with and some evening appointments as needed to accommodate youth and families' schedules. This position is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team providing psychiatric services to youth, young adults and their families. This position provides comprehensive mental health assessments, service plans and interventions within the framework of a multi-faceted treatment approach including, but not limited to:  Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other models/approaches as appropriate to meet the needs of the youth and families in our care.  Applicants must be able to maintain flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and progressive agency.

Kairos is licensed by the Oregon Department of Human Services and is certified by the Oregon Health Authority, and has been accredited by The Joint Commission since 1984.

To be considered for this position, qualified candidates will have a Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Recreational Art, or Music Therapy; behavioral science field; or a qualified Mental Health Intern, as defined in Oregon 309-019-0105 (61). Must demonstrate the ability to conduct an assessment, including identifying precipitating events, gathering histories of mental and physical health, substance abuse, past mental health services and criminal justice contacts, assessing family, cultural, social and work relationships, conducting a mental status examination, complete a DSM diagnosis, write and supervise the implementation of a Service Plan, and provide individual, family or group therapy within the scope of their training. Must have current licensure (LPC, LMFT and/or LCSW) or the ability to become licensed in the state of Oregon within two years. Kairos will support both the supervision and cost of licensure requirements.

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional evening and/or weekend appointments depending on the needs of the families. Depending on the candidate’s experience, compensation ranges from $3,689-$5,376 monthly.
