Community Skills Coach (Jackson Services, Medford)

Kairos is looking for a Community Skills Coach at its Jackson Services Program in Medford, Oregon. The Community Skills Coach will be working with at-risk youth who struggle with emotional and behavioral challenges in various treatment environments including home and community. This position works with youth and their families teaching new skills to facilitate the development of appropriate behaviors, self-expression and social interaction plus teaching, modeling and coaching life skills while working as part of a Care Team in assessing the needs of the youth and in the coordination of services.

Over the years it has grown in scope and now operates out of five counties. Kairos is licensed by the Oregon Department of Human Services and certified by the Oregon Health Authority, and has been accredited by The Joint Commission since 1984.
Candidates must be a certified QMHA to be considered for this position, which consists of 3 years' related work experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and/or a satisfactory combination of both. Previous work at a non-profit, out-patient, community setting and/or with treatment foster care, in-home support services, trauma-informed care, family-driven and youth guided practice is preferred. Candidates must have the ability to pass a background check and Medicaid fraud check. In addition, qualified candidates are required to have a valid driver's license with 3 years minimum driving experience and hold a safe driving record.
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional evening and/or weekend appointments as needed, depending on the needs of the families. Depending on the candidate’s experience, compensation ranges from $12.45-$17.27 hourly. In addition, all full-time employees with Kairos are eligible to participate in a number of agency-sponsored benefits.
