Medical Assistant (Jackson Services, Medford)

Kairos’ is looking to hire a Medical Assistant at Jackson Services in Medford, Oregon. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing routine administrative and clinical tasks. Additionally, this position is responsible for organizing the day to day operations of psychiatric services.
Kairos is a non-profit, multi-service, mental health agency that provides a comprehensive array of services and support to children, adolescents, young adults, and families struggling with trauma and other mental and behavioral issues. Over its 39 years it has grown in scope and now operates out of five counties. Kairos is licensed by the Oregon Department of Human Services and certified by the Oregon Health Authority, and has been accredited by The Joint Commission since 1984.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent. In addition, a Certified Nursing Assistant or a Certified Medication Aide would be preferred. Experience with and knowledge of psychiatric medication, vital signs, infection control and emergency preparedness preferred. Requires analytical thinking and ability to work independently; knowledge of medical terminology; interpersonal communication and human relations skills are essential, along with an ability to prioritize and evaluate agency needs. Applicants will also need to have the ability to pass a background check and a Medicaid fraud check. Qualified candidates are required to have a valid driver's license with 3 years minimum driving experience and hold a safe driving record.
This position is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Depending on the candidate’s experience, compensation ranges from $12.45-$17.27 hourly. In addition, all full-time employees with Kairos are eligible to participate in a number of Company-sponsored benefits.
