Family Support Specialist/ Medford, OR                                   
Hours
: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional evening and/or weekend appointments as needed, depending on the needs of the families.                            Compensation: $15.13- $20.99 per Hour DOE
Benefits: 2.4 weeks paid time-off, 1 week of paid sick-time the first year of employment, 6 paid holidays per year, health, vision and dental insurance, 401k with up to 6% employer contribution. Agency is qualified for federal student loan repayment program.

About this position: The Family Support Specialist provides support services for families of at-risk youth who are struggling with emotional and behavioral problems related to trauma, loss/grief, and other mental health issues. The Family Support Specialist will facilitate communication with youth, their family and community partners while modeling appropriate behaviors, self-expression and social interaction while working as part of a Care Team to address the needs of the family and youth in the coordination of services.

Successful candidates will have: Must be a biological or adoptive parent of a child with emotional/behavioral challenges or a child that has received mental health services (not currently receiving services with Kairos). The ideal candidate will be a parent (biological or adoptive) that has a significant understanding and experience with level of care systems including the types of services that Kairos provides. High School diploma or GED preferred. The qualified individual will maintain a non-judgmental attitude toward families. Will also maintain required licenses and certifications required to perform the Family Support Specialist role.
